# Kouchd product changelog

> Recent improvements to Kouchd and its help center.

This changelog highlights user-facing updates. It does not list every internal code or configuration change. The [roadmap](/help/product/roadmap) separates current work from available features.

## September 2026

* **Individual guest agreements:** Hosts can set different dates and contribution terms for each guest. Guests review and accept the agreement that applies to them; household guidelines remain shared.
* **External payment options:** Hosts can share payment details or links through Stay details. Guests pay the host directly outside Kouchd.
* **Payment reminder updates:** Reminder information now reflects the due date, accepted grace period, late-fee terms, and current ledger. Email and optional SMS remain controlled by separate saved preferences.
* **More control over reminders:** Email and SMS are separate preferences. SMS requires a mobile number and an explicit opt-in, with message-rate, frequency, STOP, and HELP details shown before you subscribe.
* **Clearer help for shared stays:** Host and guest guides now explain agreements, household contributions, privacy, and the fact that payments happen outside Kouchd.
* **Notification guidance:** Added steps for changing reminder preferences and opting out of texts.
