# Email and text reminders

> Choose how Kouchd can send optional stay and household reminders.

Kouchd can send transactional reminders about household activity. Email and SMS are separate choices. Message timing and availability can vary.

## Change your preferences

1. Sign in to Kouchd.
2. Select the settings icon in the app header to open **Reminder settings**.
3. Choose whether to receive email reminders.
4. To receive texts, add a mobile number and check the separate SMS consent box.
5. Save your preferences.

SMS is optional and is off until you choose it. Checking the box means you agree to receive transactional text messages from Wrelik Brands LLC, which operates Kouchd. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Consent is not a condition of a stay.

## What reminders cover

Depending on your role, stay activity, and selected channels, reminders can include an upcoming check-in, a contribution due date, a chore due date, or a one-time household charge. Payment reminders can reflect an upcoming due date, the due date, an accepted grace period, or a late fee in the guest’s agreement and ledger. The reminder details depend on the stay’s time zone, accepted terms, current ledger, and notification service availability. Kouchd may also send an email invitation when a host chooses email delivery.

Kouchd records contributions and agreements; it does not collect or process the payment itself. A reminder does not mean that money moved or that a payment was received.

If a reminder does not match your agreement or ledger, review **Stay** and **Ledger**, then contact your host to discuss it. The accepted agreement and current ledger are the shared record.

## Turn off texts or get help

* Turn off **SMS reminders** in **Reminder settings** and save.
* You can also reply **STOP** to a Kouchd text to opt out.
* Reply **HELP** for assistance or email [support@wrelik.com](mailto:support@wrelik.com).
* Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.

Turning off email does not change your SMS choice, and turning off SMS does not change your email choice.
