# Terms of service and platform boundaries

> Platform role boundaries, mutual stay agreements, and SMS terms for Kouchd.

  Kouchd is an agreement and shared bookkeeping tool operated by Wrelik Brands LLC. It is not a landlord, tenant agency, real estate broker, or payment processor.

## Platform role and core boundaries

Kouchd helps hosts and temporary houseguests establish mutual expectations, house rules, and transparent contribution ledgers:

* **Not a landlord or leasing agency:** Kouchd does not own, lease, manage, inspect, or broker real estate. It does not replace local residential tenancy laws, building lease rules, or legal counsel.
* **Informational ledger only:** Kouchd does not collect, hold, escrow, custody, transfer, or process user payments. Any financial settlement is conducted externally and directly between stay members.
* **Mutual agreement required:** Stay terms, rate changes, chore assignments, and ledger contribution entries require mutual review and confirmation to maintain transparent household records.

## Individual stay agreements

Each guest has their own agreement and private ledger. A host can customize a guest’s dates, rate, cadence, discounts, grace period, and late-fee terms without changing another guest’s agreement. House rules remain shared by default.

Each guest accepts their own agreement. If the host revises that guest’s terms, the guest reviews and accepts the revision before it takes effect for them.

## SMS terms of service

When you provide a mobile phone number and opt into SMS alerts:

* **Program description:** Transactional text alerts regarding stay agreement updates, mutual sign-offs, chore deadline reminders, check-in logistics, and household ledger updates.
* **Rates and charges:** Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for standard text messaging rates.
* **Frequency:** Message frequency varies based on household stay activity.
* **Opt-out (STOP):** Text **STOP**, **UNSUBSCRIBE**, or **QUIT** to any message from Kouchd to cancel.
* **Support (HELP):** Text **HELP** to any message, or email [support@kouchd.com](mailto:support@kouchd.com) or [support@wrelik.com](mailto:support@wrelik.com).
* **Privacy protection:** We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
