# House Rules & Chores

> Set clear living boundaries and share household tasks fairly.

## House Rules

Living together peacefully requires mutual respect for shared spaces. In your stay terms, you can establish:

* **Quiet Hours**: Define hours when music, calls, and television must be quieted.
* **Kitchen Cleanliness**: Expected turnaround for doing dishes and cleaning stovetops.
* **Guests & Visitors**: Whether overnight visitors require advance notice or approval.
* **Smoking & Vaping**: Clear designations on outdoor-only or smoke-free premises.

## Shared Chores

The **Chores** tab provides a shared task board where both host and guest can view and assign responsibilities:

* **Assignee Types**: `Host`, `Guest`, or `Shared`.
* **Due Dates**: Displays relative countdowns (e.g. "Due tomorrow").
* **Completed Log**: Completed tasks are marked with completion timestamps, maintaining a healthy, visible record of mutual effort.
