# Logging Contributions & Receipts

> How to record payments, grocery restocks, and non-cash help.

Kouchd believes that genuine household support takes many forms. You shouldn't have to feel like an unpaid tenant or an unappreciated guest.

## Types of Contributions

You can log 5 categories of contributions in Kouchd:

1. **Direct Cash Payment**: Money sent via Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, or physical cash.
2. **Groceries & Food**: Shared fridge items, milk, coffee, produce, and family dinners.
3. **Household Supplies**: Paper towels, toilet paper, detergent, light bulbs, or cleaning products.
4. **House Work & Labor**: Mutual agreements for manual tasks (e.g. deep cleaning, painting, dog sitting).
5. **Other**: Any custom agreed-upon value.

## How to Submit an Entry

1. In the **Contribute** screen, tap **+ Log Contribution**.
2. Select the category, enter the dollar value, date, and a short note describing the item or payment.
3. Tap **Submit for Review**.
4. Once your host taps **Confirm**, the amount is credited directly against your upcoming stay obligation!
